Settings for MTN:
Subscribe to any BlackBerry Plan by texting:

BBCWEEK to 21600 for 1 week subscription costs N500
BBC to 21600 for 1 month subscription costs N1500


then configure your modem's access point with the access point name: "blackberry.net"

For blackberry user can also connect through blackberry desktop manager

MULTILINK USER

note: Not all multilink enable one to browse for free. i use 'Multilink 3G Blue Broadband'

you dont need any subscription on Multilink unlike MTN BIS

LOGIN INTO YOUR ACCOUNT

GOTO CONTROL PANEL AND CLICK ENTER VOUCHER.

HOW TO CONFIGURE PD-PROXY

1. After downloading open the the folder and install it.

2. launch the application and input your username and password you created.

3. choose any of the server apart from the demo. and select UDP or ICMP for MTN user while Multilink user should choose udp.

4. goto setting click advance settings

5. click on PROTO OPTIONS

FOR MTN TYPE = 500
FOR MULTILINK TYPE =9200

6. CLICK CONNECT .

YOU ARE GOOD TO GO.

BROWSER SETTING : NO PROXY OR AUTOMATIC. DEPENDING ON BROWSER.

firefox user choose: No proxy

USE YOUR MODEM WITHOUT UNLOCKING

 1. Insert any SIM in the Modem and plug it to the PC (laptop or desktop)
2. Once the modem detects the SIM it will prompt you for the unlock code or password just ignore it.
Close the pop up window and the modem client.
3. Then, if you have Nokia PC Suite installed on the PC, start NOKIA PC suite.
4. Once started, click on the Nokia PC Suit's "Get Connected Icon".
5. Once it opens, it starts connecting by counting down, stop it and configure it by clicking on the
"Settings Icon".
6. On the first option that displays, normally, Nokia PC Suite brings either Bluetooth Modem or Cable/USB Modem as your option inist.
Just select your data card and click on the proceed icon.
7. The next page displays the list of the network operators. If your service provider is there, select it otherwise, click on the manual configuration option and click on the proceed icon.
8. Now, input the manual configuration settings as appropriate for your service provider and click the "OK" mark or button.
9. Finally, you can now connect to the internet. If the connection is okay, the modem can now connect to the internet with full speed.
